THE SIMMONS GROUP, a Canadian company, operates world wide with divisions including Edeco Petroleum Services, Simmons Drilling (Overseas) Limited, PT Mutiara Biru Perkasa, and Oryx Oil and Gas. The core business of Simmons is onshore drilling and workover operations principally serving the oil, gas, gas storage, geothermal and geoscientific markets internationally.
To support our operations in Indonesia, we are seeking highly qualified Experienced Candidates for the following positions:
1. Financial Controller
Major duties:
- Responsible for finance department, ensuring all corporate procedures are followed and reporting is completed in a timely manner
- Assist President Director in all financial matters
- Insures divisional reports comply with corporate financial reporting requirements
- Insure accounting practices follow legislated and valid accounting principles
- Provide directors and croporate management with up to date financial and tax legislation changes
- Assists Operations Department with tendering, as needed
- Assist Operations Department with AFE support, as needed
- Manage financial resources, evaluate corporate risk for insurances purposes and provide recommendations to management
- Evaluates internal controls and provides recommendations to management
- Prepare weekly cash forecast, collection analysis and cash calls re required
- Prepare monthly financial reporting package
- General review of accounting record, financial statements and prepare analysis of budget variances
-Coordinate annual audits, including preparation and review of audit working papers
- Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate completion of annual tax returns with audit firm
- Assist management with preparation of budgets
- Assist in the review of contractual arrangements
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting, overseas graduate preferred with age 35-45 years old
- Good working knowledge of Indonesian financial law and knowledge of international accounting principles
- Industry experience minimum 8 years with knowledge of oil and gas service company – drilling contractor in the industry would be an asset
- Strong leadership skills, good interpersonal skills, experience with Western company would be an asset
- Fluently, written and spoken English
- Knowledge of electronic accounting packages and advanced knowledge of excel
2. Receptionist (cum Translator)
Major duties
- Assess needs of clients and refer them to appropriate services available within the company
- Assist HR Admin in filing and records of office data
- Assist in preparing travel requirement both for national and expatriate employees
- Assist in translating documents from Bahasa to English and vice versa
- Other Ad Hoc duties as required
Qualification
- Preferably from English Literature with good translation skill
- Detail oriented person
- Can do attitude
- Experience in secretarial duty or receptionist at least 1 year
- Good spoken and written English
